To learn, is to SIT with others

Flourishing teams distinguish themselves by the commitment each make to their own and others learning.

Flourishing teams thrive on giving and receiving feedback to help one another see their blind-spots and access their hidden potential. They do so by committing to SIT with one another:

They SHARE – they share what they see and sense is happening for the others. During a recent team coaching session, a team member turned to his colleague and shared, “..it seems you are concerned about the current status of the project, what is concerning you?”

They INQUIRE – they seek to understand what may be happening for the others. They inquire about what assessments, beliefs, and opinions the team member may be holding on which don’t serve them to move through their issue.

They TELL – they offer feedforward; suggestions and ideas their colleague may want to consider to shift their perspective. They offer different ideas on how to look to and deal with a particular situation or how they dealt with a similar situation.

How open are you to SIT with your colleagues? How could you add greater value to others in how you SIT with them?
